Choose a Heater for Your Room
Start with the room, local electrical supply and the exact manufacturer’s manual. Then compare complete packages and installed costs. ThermalFinn’s heater guides use manufacturer documentation; we have not performed the hands-on testing claimed in earlier versions of this page. Those rankings and measurements have been withdrawn.
Compare the Models
| Guide | What to investigate |
|---|---|
| Harvia Cilindro PC90E | North American model, separate controls and a complete retailer package |
| HUUM DROP | Wall-mounted design, regional power options and UKU control package |
| Harvia Forte AF9 | Status of a discontinued regional model and the cost of standby operation |
| Finlandia FLB-80 | Manufacturer manual and model checks before requesting a quote |
This is a shortlist for comparison, not a performance ranking. There are no ThermalFinn test scores for these products.
What to Include in Every Quote
Ask for the exact heater item number and electrical version, compatible controls and sensors, stones, required accessories, delivery terms and warranty eligibility. Have an installer confirm the room and supply requirements before ordering.
What Size Heater Do You Need?
Follow the selected model’s current sizing instructions, including their treatment of glass and other surfaces. A generic kW-per-volume estimate does not replace those instructions or establish wiring requirements. Bring the room dimensions, glazing and construction details to the installer.
How Do Running Costs Compare?
Compare measured kWh under comparable conditions, then apply your electricity rate. Rated kW is not a measured monthly energy bill. We do not have a defensible head-to-head running-cost dataset for these models.
How We Handle Buying Links
Manufacturer documentation remains available alongside retailer options. Any paid referral will be identified beside its link. See our disclosure and editorial approach.
Prepare Your Purchase
- Measure the room and check model sizing.
- Prepare the electrical information for an installer.
- Check the specified stones and package contents.
- Compare complete installed quotes.
